2017 Winner of the Greater Akron Chamber Business of the Year
Relevant Experience: After growing up in Akron, Ohio, I joined the U.S. Army and served on multiple international assignments. After leaving the military, I earned my bachelors degree in human resources at the University of Akron and honed my human resource skills as HR director for the City of Kent.
I returned to the books to earn my MBA and turned my sights to the corporate world. I continued to grow my HR career in several large corporations where I took on such challenges as running departments and managing expansions and reorganizations. I also earned my SPHR and CPP certifications.
With my well-rounded experience in all aspects of HR across so many private and public sectors, partnering with PrideStaff seemed like a natural next step for me.
The Big Picture: PrideStaff shares my commitment to “Consistently provide client experiences focused on what they value most.”
My focus on extraordinary customer service and knowledge of the Akron-area business community have contributed to my ongoing success.
The Scoop on Staffing: I have a rare ability to understand both people and processes. I can walk into a small or medium size company and immediately see the environment, challenges and business constraints they are dealing with.
I encourage my clients to leverage my experience and the resources PrideStaff can provide to help them operate more efficiently, reduce costs and rest assured that they will always have access to quality staffing solutions when they need them.
Secrets to Success: It’s important that clients know I am here to be a true partner. I have a range of experience dealing with every aspect of hiring and managing teams, from hiring and interviewing to handling unions and drug testing and making sure that hiring practices are compliant.
Favorite Stress Reliever: My favorite stress reliever is getting out and spending time with my family. My son and daughter are both heavily involved in sports and my ideal day is spent by the ball field watching and coaching them along.
